Max and a Dinosaur

"Let the wild rumpus start!"
Maurice Sendak, Where the Wild Things Are

I am waaayyyy behind on personal blogging but I at least wanted to get up the Halloween pics before Christmas....

Our Halloween was pretty low key.....

Owen wanted to be a dinosaur again (a T-Rex to be specific---although the costume looks more like a stegosaurus to me. Ha. Whatevs.  I admire his imagination. )  It was fine by me that he wanted to be what he was last year....  I didn't have to go out and buy another costume or make Owen decide what he wanted to be and keep that decision....  This costume was probably the best purchase ever....it gets a great amount of use, not just on Halloween. Owen is quite the dinosaur lover.

And Max....well, if you can't tell..... It was only appropriate that he was Max from Where the Wild Things Are....

For Max is our little wild man....

And boy did he love his costume..... Can't you tell?? (A big thanks to my mom, for she slaved away on his costume and did an awesome job!)

We did a little trick or treating...

Owen did the job of passing out candy....

He counted the number of trick or treaters and took record of all of the candy he received.....

Owen had a blast....

Max was indifferent. He didn't really know what to think....

Now, the begging has begun for candy for breakfast, and lunch, and dinner, and snack, and dessert....

Now, is the time when I gain 10 lbs from eating all of the left over candy and some of Owen's so he doesn't eat it all....

Note to self: do not buy your favorite candy for you will eat it all.  (even though I intentionally did just that in case there was a bit left over--because, I just need a little chocolate now and then...or daily...) :)

Hope you had a lovely Halloween full of fun, giggles, laughter, and yummy treats!
