2nd Annual Family Camping Trip

Hello!
Sorry I am a bit behind on the blogging--haven't really been in the mood to lately. Lots of not-so-fun stuff going on these past couple of weeks. Anyways, so it is hard to believe how fast the summer is going by....Here I am about to tell you about our camping trip and it was already like 3 weeks ago! So, as of last year, we started a tradition with my immediate family. We go up to the Boundary Waters to the Sawbill outfitters. It is a beautiful campground and we have been going there since I was a child. This year marked our second year and it was pretty fun. The weather made it a little un-fun but Owen didn't seem to care! It was a nice little weekend get away. Saturday it drizzled/rained on and off all day and was only in the 50's. I was frozen to the core for some reason and couldn't quite warm up. Sunday, the day we left, the weather was beautiful--of course. But, it was still nice to spend time with the fam. Owen had a blast playing with the water jug, helping Papa go re-fill the water jugs, playing with trucks & animals in the dirt, playing with sticks, watching "choppin'Dan" (Hanni's boy) chop wood, taking walks, making ice cream, and just being Grandma's shadow. Tom and I had a nice time reading, eating, and doing a whole lot of nothing. (except for chasing Owen around when he wasn't attached to Grandma's side!) Overall, it was nice to be with the family and watch Owen just have the time of his life. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate more next year!
