Hello! Well, where to start.... the weather has actually been decent these past few days so it's been nice to get out and enjoy it! Nothing too exciting going on in the Liester household these days...it was a nice weekend so that's always great! On Saturday, Tom and I were able to have our neighbor girl come and babysit while we got to go out for a special event at the River Centre in St.Paul. Tom was invited by one of the doctors he works with to a wine auction to raise money for the Level 1 pediatric trauma center at Regions. (which I learned is the only Level 1 center in Minnesota and the upper Midwest--how's that for a fun fact? I did not know that!) Anyways, it was super fun and super fancy! We were totally not in our element but sometimes it's fun to pretend, right?:) When we got there we registered and did some wine tasting, socializing, ate appetizers (I was starving!) and checked out all of the stuff for the silent auction. We then had a lovely dinner and were spectators when the live auction started. There's no way we could afford to bid on anything! :) Quite an interesting experience but a great time! And, of course, I didn't get any pictures of us all dressed up! Oh well...
Sunday, was a nice lazy Sunday. We did a little raking but mainly so Owen could just jump in the leaves. Boy, did he have a blast! I did get some pics! The tree is gorgeous in our backyard and is one of the more vibrant trees I have seen this fall. Of course, it is taking forever for all of the leaves to drop. This AM when I looked out the window the lawn is just covered in leaves again after Tom just did yardwork yesterday! What can you do? Note to self: Just wait until every single leaf has dropped off the tree--then do the raking. Although I'm sure by then it will be 30 degrees out again! You just can't win! But at least the leaves are beautiful! Have a lovely day!
