The Birthday that Never Ends....

Hello and Happy Mother's Day to all who are mothers or soon to be mothers! I am truly blessed with a wonderful mom and mother in-law. So lucky! Thanks for all you do!

So, I promise this is the last birthday post. Owen's big birthday party was yesterday so I had to post some pics of it. On his actual birthday we tried to make it special as well. It started off with our usual routine of ECFE, which he loves. After class, we went to Target to use his gift card that he got from his Great Grandma Witzig (thank you Grandma!!) in the mail. I told him he could pick out whatever he wanted. We came out with this cute bulldozer that comes with a drill so he can put it together and take it apart. He LOVES it. Plus, he had to get a fake snake and a little treat. (Twizzlers) Then, I told him he could pick wherever he wanted to go for lunch. So guess what he chose....McDonalds of course! I shouldn't have ever brought him there in the first place but boy does he love nuggets and fries. So off Tom, Owen and I went for a little ride....Owen said he wanted to drive thru--not go in. Ha. Then later that evening Tom had to work so I brought Owen swimming at the club and out for ice cream at Culver's. This time he wanted to go in. I wasn't expecting him to so here I go in with wet, tangly hair and I'm sure mascara running down my face or something...oh well, the things we do for our children! :) But, it was well worth it. Owen had a blast and a good day. So glad I got to spend it with him!

Workin' on his new toy

Yesterday, we had the whole fam over for a little bash and Owen always has a good time when everyone is around. He loves his cousins and has a fun time playing with them. Owen was spoiled and collected a whole bunch of new loot so that kept him quite busy all day as well. He was exhausted by bed time. (doesn't mean he slept in though!! :)) Thank you to everyone for joining us and for all of the lovely presents--it means so much to have you all here!!

Today was also a lovely day. We had Tom's family over for brunch so that was quite nice. Food and family--Oh and mimosas...what could be better?? :)

One more thing---the lovely crabapple tree all the moms stood in front of was from Tom's family as a memorial for the baby we lost. I just wanted to say THANK YOU so much from the bottom of my heart. It was such a kind and thoughtful thing to do and this tree will hold a special place in my heart always. It is absolutely beautiful. Thank you.
