As an anniversary gift, Tom surprised me with a ride on a gondola on the river in Stillwater (well, he told me about it beforehand but booked it without telling me :)) It was very thoughtful of him! I can't say I've ever been on one so it was a new adventure. So Wednesday evening we went on our little gondola ride and had a wonderful time. It was a lovely evening and very relaxing. The best part was when we were right near the bridge and some lovely men in their truck, driving along the bridge, serenaded us with "when the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie..." Wasn't that lovely of them?! ha. We found it quite amusing actually. The gondolier was very nice and only talked to us if we said something to him. And no, he did not sing. I was wondering that myself. I told Tom I would have laughed if he sang the whole time. Instead, Pavarotti was playing on the CD player :) All in all, it was quite nice to just sit and relax. Sometimes I forget how much we need time to ourselves. Time to talk. Time to enjoy each other's company. Time to just sit.
Anyways, after our ride we went to a restaurant downtown called Marx Fusion Bistro. It was delicious. Would highly recommend it. Check it out: Marx Thank you hon for such a lovely evening!
