Last Days of Fall

It seems winter is creeping up on us.....

The high today is only going to be 30...potential for a little snow on Saturday. Brr.....

I am not sure I am ready for this.

But, I will take it in stride.

For, with winter comes my favorite holiday, Christmas music!,  drinking tea by the fireplace, snuggling on the couch, hot soup and warm bread, reading good books, mulled wine and cider, "catching snowflakes on my tongue and throwing snowballs" (Owen said this) I could go on.....

and maybe even venturing outside for a winter walk where the woods are silent, the air is crisp, and all you hear are your feet crunching in the snow.

Of course, after the walk, going home to enjoy some hot cocoa with marshmallows.

I will attempt to embrace old man winter.

Remind me to look back at this post in January when it's below zero, when it takes me 2 hours to get to work because I have to drive in a few snowstorms, when everything is just gray and blah, when Owen is going crazy being cooped up in the house and in turn I go crazy...... : )

For now, we need to get out and enjoy these last days of Fall! That we did the other day...but the temperature dropped quickly so it was a quick trip to the park.  Owen was being his silly ol' self.

Bring it on winter......I think. :)

I love that photo of Max all bundled-up! Such a cutie. And Owen just looks so happy on that swing!
Embrace old man winter for me! I'm hoping we get dumped-on this year. It's been a few years, so we are due.
Until then I will just enjoy your snowy, frosty photos of old man winter. :)

You are really taking everything in stride - hard to believe it's cold outside.
