So I Remember

As I was putting Max down for his nap this morning, I started thinking...

I can't believe Max is almost 1...

I can't believe Owen is already 5...

And then I tried to remember Owen as a baby, as a one year old...

Sad thing is, I don't remember much...

Certain things stick out...

But, really, it is all just a blur....

My memory just isn't that great.

If I don't document....

It is all but a fleeting memory.

And that is why I feel the need to take pictures.

Lots of them.....

For when I look at pictures, I remember.

And without them....

The every day things would all be...

Just a distant memory...

Or forgotten....

So I will continue on...

And capture every moment I can...

Just so I can remember....

Always.
A trip to Cherry Berry for some fro yo....
Owen's choice: chocolate fro yo with Mike and Ike's. Interesting combo... :)

Oh, Naomi, I love these! And I love your words even more. I'm the same way - not the greatest at remembering the moments, so I take pictures. The photos you take will help you to remember the smaller details of that moment. :)

love. love. love this post. the photos and your words are so beautiful. i can relate so well to not being able to remember things from even just a year ago. thanks for the reminder to keep on shooting. :)

Exactly...if you don't document with words and photos, imagine what you will have forgotten when they are in their 20s.
These are great!

lovin' all the red and the pops of the green. Super fun photos. We were at our fro-yo place last night and I wish I had my big girl camera!

These are so adorable! Love the reflection. Love the colors. They grow up way too fast.
