The Great Minnesota Get-Together

Yesterday, we braved the crowds and headed to the State Fair for a few hours. (I have included a picture of the MOBS of people) 3 hours was plenty for all of us! It gets hot on that concrete with all of those people and deep fryers even when it was such a beautiful day! We thought it would be fun for Owen to go check out the baby animals and have as much fun people watching as we do. Unfortunately, we did not make it to the baby animals--Owen was wiped (and so were his parents). We did a lot of walking, got our Martha's cookies and lunch (Owen had a fruit cup at the fair--YES--you can buy fruit at the fair!), watched a parade while Owen ate his first Sno-Cone, and checked out the Little Farm Hands exhibit. Owen was a little young for it but he had fun carrying around his bucket. We discovered he also really likes watching parades. He would start moving and act like he was playing the drums when bands would go by. He also had fun waving at everyone. It was a good time but I would say we had enough of the fair to make it until next year if not two years from now....:) But,then again, we might have to go back next year just for the cookies--YUM!

Last, but not least, the MOB!
