A Nice Weekend For a Lake Visit

This past weekend we were invited to a wedding for one of Tom's high school friends. Luckily, it was only about 25 minutes from Tom's parent's house so we also got a chance to visit with them and relax at the lake. Owen always has a good time! He loves to play in the playhouse and sandbox. He isn't as fond of the water but he did enjoy just sitting on the big rocks and throwing little rocks into the lake. He is definitely a busy little boy but Grandma and Grandpa seem to have fun with him! The wedding was on Saturday at a nice golf resort. It was a pretty outdoor ceremony and just the perfect length of time for Owen to sit still! I would say he did pretty well at the wedding. He obviously couldn't sit still the entire time but if you give him food or a glass of water to play with that keeps him occupied for a while. He also loves to just run around and check out other little kids.

One of the cuter things Owen did this weekend was during lunch on Sunday he kept pointing to the corn on the cob like he really wanted it. We just kept saying no because he doesn't like corn if we give it to him off the cob. But, Tom decided to share a little of his cob and Owen devoured it! It was pretty darn cute. To sum this up, it was a very nice weekend. It was wonderful to just sit back and relax for a change. I feel like I can't do it very often these days! Thanks again for having us Grandma and Grandpa Liester! Now, off to clean the house--we have a showing! Oh and P.S.... this cute house that we looked at in Woodbury is no longer for sale--I think we are cursed! Every time we find a house we could potentially see ourselves living in it disappears--is this a sign? Whatever it is, it's frustrating!
