Now that I sit down I realize how exhausted I am so I'm going to try and make this quick! We'll see how successful I am....Anyways, this weekend we had the pleasure of having my family come visit (Katie, Hanni, Mom, & Dad!) They came Saturday and stayed until Sunday afternoon. It was really nice to see them and we had a great time. Owen loves seeing his Aunties and Grandma and Papa as well! (but he doesn't like to see them all go--he cried for about 15 minutes after everyone left!) The main reason everyone came down was because I wanted a mural for Owen's playroom. Who better to do it then my talented mother and sisters??! My wonderful mother came up with a great design and outlined the whole thing. Katie, Hanni, and I had a fun time painting it in. Also--thank you Katie and Hanni for starting the white trim in the laundry room--I really appreciate it! Now it just means I have to finish it! HA. We brought Owen down a few times to see it while we were working on it and he just had this smile on his face and was admiring the whole thing and pointing out all of the animals. All that hard work was worth it right there! I can safely say the mural is a big hit! Thanks a million Katie, Hanni, & Mom! You are the BEST! We love it! (and thanks Dad for coming along and maybe being slightly bored?!)
Oh and I also must say, Saturday night was great. My dear friends Amy and Steffen happened to be in the area so they stopped over to say hi. They ended up staying to enjoy our Italian feast we made for dinner that evening. It was nice to have family and friends around--we still don't know too many people in the area so we love it when we have visitors! It was a lovely weekend--hope we can do one again soon. What should we paint next?? :)
