Friday was spent going to Como Zoo and Conservatory. Owen loves it there! He could watch the tamarins and giraffes all day. I also got some cute shots of him in the sunken garden. He decided to pose for the camera but I could not get him to smile at the camera--oh well, he's still cute in my opinion :)
Saturday was girl's day! Some college friends and I try to get together at least once a year for this. It consists of a lot of food consumption and sitting around watching movies all day. No jeans (or boys) allowed! It's always nice to get together with good friends and eat good food!
Today--church (plus a pancake breakfast at church-yum!) and then having my cousin, Lance, over for dinner. He is bringing along friends of his: a married couple who also have a little boy. Tom actually knows the guy from work so it is kind of a small world kind of thing. I haven't met any of them so it'll be fun to meet new people. Hope they don't mind that all I'm making is salad and potato soup...HA! Super fancy..I know.
And one final thing to make you smile. Owen was up at 7 and was chattering away in his room so I snuck up to hear what he was saying. I believe he was having a conversation with his stuffed dinosaur which went a little something like this:
"What do you want to do? Do you want to sing songs with me?
No, you don't want to sing songs with me? (putting a lot of emphasis on the me and raising his voice to a higher pitch--if that makes sense)
OK, fine. (sounding bummed)
What do you want to do? Do you want to play blocks with me? Do you want to build a barn? No? You don't want to play blocks? Ok, fine.
Do you want to go in the basement? No, you don't want to go in the basement? Ok.
Do you want to sleep with me? "
And then it was silent. I think. I snuck away after that. It was pretty darn cute I must say. Anyways, time to get going for the day. Have a great day!
