In The Eyes of a Child

Well....winter has arrived.  It definitely came with a vengeance. I am not sure how I feel about that yet.  I usually get excited about the first snow and all of the beauty it creates. I think I was not so happy this year because I was supposed to do an outdoor photo shoot with a family and the snow totally foiled my plans-ha!
Anyways....it is here and it is reality so I'm going to have to deal.  I've decided I need to embrace it like a child.  When Owen first saw the snow he was elated!  He said, "WOW! Is Santa coming?"  : )  We informed him Santa wouldn't be here for a little while but he forgot about Santa pretty quickly. He immediately wanted to go outside and make a snowman.  He was so cute.  He also said the snowman needed a carrot for his nose so we got all of the stuff ready to make his little snowman.  We got him all bundled up and went outside.   He was just like a kid in a candy store. Well...he is a kid but he was so happy. : )  He played outside for quite a while---had a little snowball fight with Daddy, made a snowman, ate some snow, and even the dog got in on the action.   I look at the photos I took and in almost every single one Owen has a huge grin on his face.  It makes me happy to see my little boy happy.   If all it takes is some snow to do that....then I'm going to love this snow just like he does.
(I'll see if I change my mind come February.... :) )

So cute! I am so jealous! I would love a couple of inches to go and build a snowman! I would want it to go away soon though :)

Great photos! Looks like you had a wonderful time.

Wow. These are amazing, Naomi. The picture of the three of them, with your music playing, made my eyes tear up. Wow.
