A Distraction

So, needless to say, I have been a bit stressed lately. A bit may be an understatement. This whole nurses's strike thing has really got me in a tizzy. A tizzy may be an understatement too. So, of course, what do I do? I take pictures. Lots and lots. Maybe that's why I can't stop. Because it takes my mind off things. Gives me something to focus on other than the stressors in my life right now. It provides me with some great stress relief. I am very thankful for that!
Anyways, last night was absolutely beautiful so I thought it'd be nice to go to one of the local park reserves. Lake Elmo Park reserve where Owen asked so excitedly, "is Elmo at Lake Elmo park reserve?!" Ha. Sorry bud. Leave it to him to make me smile. I said no Elmo isn't there but there are lots of playgrounds and places to walk. And he goes, "YES!" So off we went to take some pics and try out my new blue chair. Yes, that's right a blue chair. I adore it. I will digress a little here......
One of my friends told me about some local women, the Apron Chicks, who gather antiques and old furniture and fix it "up" to make it look all distressed and vintage like. They hold barn sales every now and then so a friend and I went to one last week. Oh my...do they have fun stuff. But, I found this one blue chair and I just couldn't resist. So here are some pictures experimenting with my new blue chair. Owen was my lucky subject of course....We had a wonderful little walk and naturally, we had to check out one of the playgrounds too! It was nice to take my mind off things. Even if it was for just a little while....
