Good Food, Good Friends, Good Times

Just thought I'd do a little update on our weekend fun.  It was our one weekend off together for the month of June so it was quite nice!  We had friends over Friday and Sunday night for some grilling so that was quite nice.  It's always nice to have company over and I don't think we could ever tire of grilling!  A few other things we did over the weekend....

Friday we checked out the Dodge Nature Center in St.Paul. Lots of fun trails to walk and wildlife to observe.

They even have farm animals.  Owen was checking out the rooster here.

Saturday we checked out the Jackson Street Roadhouse in St. Paul which is part of the Minnesota Transporation Museum. We got a Museum pass through the library so only had to pay for Owen--if you haven't tried checking out Museum passes at the library--you should! They are great!

Then we went for a little caboose ride...woo, woo!!

I also managed to do a little baking....strawberry pie! SO.GOOD.

Last but not least, Owen had to try out all his new soccer gear for a 4 day soccer camp we signed him up for. It starts in a couple of weeks. More on that later!

All in all, it was a great, relaxing weekend. Can't wait for the next one that we have off together--July 4th! HA. : )
