A couple of weeks back we signed up Owen for a little 4 day soccer camp for 3 to 4 year olds. Nothing hard core or anything :) It goes Monday through Thursday this week for an hour each day. Today was the first day and Owen had a lot of fun! Well, initially he wasn't too sure but he warmed up to it. The only reason he wasn't too sure was the coaches had all the kids get fired up by screaming as loud as they could....Owen was not a big fan of this and started bawling. He has such a sensitive soul :) So...I had to come along with him. But, as long as I was nearby he was fine.
They divided the kids into groups of about 4. Owen and this other little girl, Amelia (adorable) were the last 2 standing. One boy was having a hard time letting go of his mom and the other one decided he just did not want to participate and would rather have a snack. HA. So, I'm impressed Owen had enough of an attention span to listen and participate the whole time!
They practiced kicking, catching, dribbling, and scoring. They even played a little red light, green light. Funniest part was probably when they told Owen to dribble the ball. So...he proceeds to pick it up and started trying to bounce it like a basketball. HA. He didn't quite get that at first but he eventually caught on. Tom and I had a lot of fun watching--it was SO CUTE to watch all of the little kiddos. Owen also had a lot of fun--he said right afterward, "I had fun!" Can't wait to do it again tomorrow!
Not too sure yet....
Practicing catching
Learning how to stop the ball
SCORE!

we just started my stella in soccer this year ... it's been fun to watch.
on the hot and/or rainy days she's not so excited to be there ... but it's fun to see her doing it.
and i haven't gotten the chance to bring my camera yet. b/c in chasing the other little ones ... i haven't had a chance! but i need to ... thanks for the reminder!
I had to document the first day of course! I'm sure people were wondering why I was taking so many photos--ha. Of course, it is a bit easier to take photos when you don't have other little ones to chase around and your husband is there too. Oh and the fact that your child wouldn't let you go too far..ha :)
