Blessed

Whew! It was a whirwind of a weekend!

It actually was a weekend filled with God-- God's beauty, the way God has changed lives.....Who, I will honestly admit, I have been doubting a little the past couple of weeks.  (Please don't judge!)

I had small group Saturday morning with some wonderful ladies!  We are reading a great book right now and I'm so glad we are.  I've been struggling with thoughts of--what did I do that was so wrong to be punished by God so much with 2 miscarriages in a row?  It was only appropriate that the chapter we are reading is about how God is good.  It reminded me that good things happen to good AND bad people and bad things happen to everyone as well. I still don't quite understand why this is but maybe someday I will know.... I was reminded that "God is good all the time and all the time God is good!"I just have to keep telling myself that when I have my doubts... :)

"He makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the righteous and on the unrighteous" (Matthew 5:45)

That evening we went to Festa di Pasta at church and had a good ol' Italian dinner and great fellowship with the youth director and her family. We have come to become good friends and I'm so glad we have. She is a great person!

Yesterday, we went to a local apple orchard and vineyard.  It was a crazy place!  But, so fun and so beautiful. You can't help but feel blessed when you are walking amongst the beauty of this earth on, yet another, gorgeous Fall day!

Sunday evening I was honored to be invited to go to the Young Life banquet.  I attended Castaway camp this past summer with teen moms from Young Life so it was great to see them once again.  There are many different Young Life groups and many of the kids from these groups gave an awesome presentation.  They have all had struggles in their lives and have come to find God--to feel accepted, to know they are not alone. It was just very moving and once again reminded me how blessed I am.

Anyways,  it was a great weekend. I needed that.  And, of course, what would a post be without pictures??!  Have a lovely Monday!

Oh, I forgot to mention the hot air balloons! They were out a lot this weekend..and if I haven't said it before-- I am obsessed with them. I just think they are so cool and someday I am going on one-ha! This one was right by our house so, naturally, I had to snap a photo!
