Well....I think they kind of got it wrong. It does hold some truth but why can't boys be sugar and all things nice too? Now, of course, this is my own personal opinion I'm talking about here....
Anyways, I just have to document this so when my little boy is a teenager and wants nothing to do with me I can look back at this and smile.
My little boy has been so sweet these days. Maybe he realizes I need his sweetness...I don't know. But, regardless, I'll take it.
He is such a mama's boy lately. The hugs and kisses are endless and just because.....for no reason.....just so sweet.
At bedtime, I say, "I love you" and in his cute little boy voice he whispers back..."love you mommy."
Sigh.
When he's outside he picks dandelions for me and then comes inside... quickly putting them behind his back and with his eyes happily gleaming he yells, "Surprise!!" Of course, I see them before he yells surprise but I just act as surprised as ever. And he is SO. Proud.
Oh little man, how you melt my heart....
To me, you are sugary sweet...and always will be.

Aww, that would definitely melt my mommy heart, too!
That's what my husband always says... i.e., that he wishes our kids could stay little a while longer. They're SO cute and SO sweet, so pure and innocent now and you know before long they'll start to pull away more and be more independent. =)

Oh my goodness your son is so cute! Having 2 boys of my own I have to completely agree with this post. My oldest (almost 4) loves to bring me flowers and it totally melts my heart every time.
