Whew! What a whirlwind this Christmas was! Christmas always seems to come up so fast and go by so quickly......but it was a nice Christmas and for that I am thankful. It is always nice to spend time with family.
So...just thought I'd catch you up to speed on our multitude of Christmases...ha! All of our families live in different cities so it always gets interesting this time of year....plus, add in the fact that I work every other Christmas and it gets even more interesting! Luckily, it was my year off!
The weekend before Christmas was spent with my hubby's dear parents at the lake. It was wonderfully relaxing. Owen had a blast with his Grandma and Grandpa playing with his new toys and playing his new board games...over, and over, and over again :) But, the majority of time was spent out on the lake doing some good ol' fashioned Minnesota ice fishing! Owen LOVED it. He loved making the trek out to the ice shack in his big ol' boots. He loved picking up those little minnows and watching their tails flap back and forth. He is a true boy, that's all I can say. Although, I did not get many pics of our Christmas with the Liesters (shocking I know)...I did manage to capture quite a few of our ice fishing adventure.....the lake is so beautiful in the winter. Thank you Liesters--we love you!
Those are my feet. On the ice....something frightening to me about that. I know there are inches of ice below me but the thought of many feet of water below me still scares me!
Sadie loves ice fishing too....
Looking out the ice shack window...
Grandma even joined us!
Enjoying a cranberry snow slushie
The one and only catch....a little lake perch. Owen was thrilled! (but the perch did go back to his home :))
More to come! Hope you all had a wonderfully, blessed Christmas too! :)

Aw, these are so great. Looks like you had a wonderful time. I agree with you about walking on the ice...always scares me. I love I felt like I was there...great post. Merry Christmas!!!
I don't care where you are - you post the most beautiful images.
That looks amazing!!! What fun for your little guy :D
What a fun experience!
Lovely photos! I must say, though, that I went brrr looking at all that snow! :)
These are all so great! I love the one of Sadie standing next to the ice shack. :) I grew up "up north" and have always wanted to go ice fishing...but that's not happening down here in Texas. We visit Crane Lake in northern Minnesota some summers...I may have to talk everyone into going for a winter trip next time!
Holy cow!! Those are the most beautiful photos!!! What a wonderful time! :)
