i heart faces ~ self portrait

Every picture has a story. (and mine is kind of a drawn out one!)
This picture is no exception....
I'm really not trying to be depressing but I'm going to be frank and honest.
This picture was taken just a couple of days after suffering my second miscarriage in a row.
I needed some time away from work so I took the weekend off to be with my family.  We had such a great Saturday, just the 3 of us.
I decided then and there that I needed pictures of me with my little boy.
Just me and my boy--one who I truly cherish.
Just for me.
It is so rare that I am in front of the camera--really rare.
So, my hubby took over and he is no photographer! :)
But, he did an amazing job capturing me and my little man. (check them out here if you'd like!)
Amidst all of the snapshots of my little boy and I...my hubby managed to capture this picture of just me.
So now, I look back at this photo and remember the sadness.  But,  I also look back and remember what fun I had with my boys on such a beautiful Fall day and now.... I actually have a photo of me. : )
Now, go check out self portrait week over at i heart faces!
