A Walk at Sunrise

Aloha!!
Whew! It has been a while......just got back yesterday from a pretty amazing vacation. Needless to say, I am pretty jet lagged but it was definitely worth it. It is good to be home (although it was a little difficult to leave sunny and 80 degrees to come back to 20 degrees and new snow along with it....) Owen missed us and we missed him. I was so anxious that last day to just get home and snuggle him up! He was pretty excited to see us too. A HUGE, HUGE thanks to my amazing parents for taking care of the little guy while we were gone--it means the world to us! He loved every minute of being with you too!
So, back to our vacation.....we went to the lovely island of Kaua'i.  Really, a dream come true. We have never been to Hawaii but have always dreamed of going!

Amazing. Heavenly. Gorgeous. Paradise. The most relaxing time I've had in a while. I really needed it!  Highlights of the trip:

*Breakfast outside, with views of the ocean, at sunrise every morning
*Laying on the beach, soaking up some sun
*Reading/Relaxing by the pool
*Sipping fruity drinks while reading by the pool
*Eating good food
*Taking naps : )
*The beach (did I mention that?)
*A luau with more yummy food
*Touring the island
*Walks on the beach : )

Do you see a reoccurring theme here?  The beach was amazing and really, that is where most of our time was spent.  Of course, I went a little picture happy so I'll try and split it up a little by day.  The first day there, we were up pretty early so we ate breakfast at sunrise and went for a nice long walk along the beach while the sun came up.  The rest of the day was spent, where else....but on the beach or by the pool!    More to come.....: )
