Romance.....
This was a tough one.
I've thought about it all week and I just wasn't sure what to do....
Don't get me wrong, my hubby is super wonderful but maybe a bit lacking in the romance department? He, he.... : )
But, then I started thinking about it.
I realized, it's the little things he does for me.....
It doesn't have to be flowers and chocolates all of the time.
He cooks for me. Pretty much every meal if he's not working. (I like to bake probably more than I like to cook!) :) My dream come true....a man who cooks.
He chops wood and builds fires for me...
He does the dishes....
He gets up early after working late into the night to bring Owen to school....so I don't have to when I haven't showered yet. (I'd rather not leave the house if I haven't showered....that's just me.)
I could go on and on but the baby is getting hungry.
His latest endeavor was so kind and thoughtful. I thought we were just re-doing a part of our house but he said it was for me. To have a nice space.....
He spent all day painting and putting together furniture.....for me.
So, although it probably does not fit the true definition of romance, I thought it was pretty darn sweet.
A labor of love.
It's the little things......

That's pretty romantic to me.
I love your new space, it's very pretty.
How sweet! And I see you found a new spot for that rug. : )
it really is the little things. and yay for a new space for you!
I believe that this is true "masculine love." So often as women we define romance through a "feminine lens." But the more I read all of our blogs on this the more I see that we are recipients of the male version of romance. Once I learned to recognize it I truly felt the weighty impact of my husband's actions so much more.
Your husband sounds like a wonderful man and the space he made you is so lovely and absolutely a labor of love.
Beautiful!
Seriously, I would take that over flowers any day of the week. :)
i think it perfectly fits the true definition of romance.
him spending his day making something special for you.
love.
Such a beautiful gesture and a beautiful space! Love these men of ours.
This looks so perfect, Naomi!! I can't wait to see it in real life. Love this new space of yours. What a wonderful guy you have. :)
Oh what a great space he created for you! (Great rug and blue walls...and MAC.) A true labor of love. :)
I love that rug and the wall color. My sister and I are painting my mom's office this weekend and I was looking for a blue / gray color. This is perfect. The little things are the best.
He created a space just for you? Defnitely romantic. But I think we're all in agreement that those small expressions of love are the best kind.
that is so sweet that he did that just for you!
Love this space! So jealous! I would say this nails romance perfectly...I love that wall color!
You and Stacey were on the same wave length, and I couldn't agree with the two of you more. So perfect!
I love your wall color! And I think that's perfectly romantic, I love how Michelle put it in her comments!
That IS really sweet and romantic. You have to cherish the little things...those are the ones that really count anyways.
