Linked 52: Breakfast

I decided to attempt to join in the fun with a Project 52. One photo every Friday for a year. We will see how it goes! I will try my best. :)

I'm a little late in the game this week....I just decided 2 days ago I'd give it a whirl. Needless to say, I'm working today and I didn't really get a chance to try and get super creative. So, this week I'm using an Instagram photo that fit the theme perfectly.

I made the oh-so-evil skotcharoos (aka special K bars but I use rice krispies) the other day...why I chose to make the bars I can't stay away from I do not know. When I make them I end up eating them all.
Well, I decided they looked awfully good for breakfast the other morning.....

My 4 year old walked in and I was busted....

He says, "what do you think you're doing?"

I just about cracked up then and there. I really don't recall my response either. I just remember scrambling to figure out what I was going to say because I was being a total hippocrite.  Many a time have I said to Owen that, "No, you can't have a sucker for breakfast because you haven't eaten anything good for you yet."

Whatever I said worked because Owen didn't even ask for one. Ha.

Now, I really need to watch myself!

But, the bars have fortified cereal and protein from the peanut butter so it counts as a breakfast food right?! ; )

Go check out all of the others joining in the Project 52!
Stacey, Michelle, Tracey, Heather, Andrea, Jenn, Jessica, Amanda, Amanda, Kristin, Sara, Tracy, Lesli, Janet, Rhonda, Rose, Carla, & Lena.

Ok. You can't post a photo of something that looks that good and not share the recipe! ;-) I've been busted many a time by Max - usually before dinner.

i am notorious for eating some kind of chocolate for breakfast.
i've been caught too.
many times.

I would adore that for breakfast in the morning but we could never have it because I would sneak so many bites the kids wouldn't wind up getting any.

But if you feel like posting the recipe.... :)

That looks like my kind of breakfast. Scotcheroos are one of my favorites. So delicious and so easy to make. :)

Oh Scotch a Roos - my neighbor will make those and bring us some and I can't help myself!

I just joined this week too - it will be hard for me since I'm no photographer, but I look forward to it.
