We Must Be Doing Something Right

So not only does Owen come up with the idea to pick flowers for his Daddy but yesterday he came up with the idea to do a "project" for his Daddy.  It was beyond adorable. This is what he said, "I'm going to make a nice, beautiful, pretty picture with wrapping paper for Daddy. Then we'll wait for Daddy to get home and we'll say surprise! And he will like that."  My heart pretty much melted right then and there.

He is such a thoughtful little boy.  I don't know where he picked up his thoughtfulness but it makes me feel like we might be doing something right. It could just be something all 3 year olds pick up at some point or time but I like to think we had a little something to do with it. HA!

He was so proud to come up with his project idea and worked so hard to paint, color, and sticker a picture for Daddy. It made me smile... And I was (and always will be) so proud at that moment......to be Mommy to this amazing, thoughtful, sweet little boy. So glad he's mine. : )
