A Moment in Time ~ Father Figure

A Friday Ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

*I'm back! I was at this amazing camp all week put on through an organization called Young Life. I was working as a nurse for 15 teen moms and 18 children. (ages 3 and under!) This photo is profound to me...the girls at this camp have had rough, tough lives. They have had little to no support, not many people to turn to. Which in turn, means these children may not have much support or people to look up to.
So... these girls have turned to God and have found support from people through Young Life. This is Gary (one of the Young Life leaders) and Derek, one of the mom's little boys.  They truly have a special bond. And I think that's awesome--these kids and moms need support. They need role models. Oh how much I've learned over the past few days...more to come... :)
