*This was not funny at the time but I feel the need to document...as I am now giggling about this....
This is what happens when you leave your 3 year old boy for 5 minutes alone with his crayons and paper......Mind you, this 3 year old boy knows better....
You get lovely WALL ART. Colored so nicely with blue crayon. All over the wall.
Here is one example of his wall art....And isn't it just a lovely piece of art work....a nice face complete with eyes, nose, hair, two arms, and one leg?
(sorry it's sort of hard to see--camera didn't enjoy focusing on it)
A few deep breaths were taken. My voice may have raised a bit. Crayons were removed. Some crying may have ensued...something along the lines of, "I want my crayons. I want to color on my paper...." (See?? He knows better!)
So, there were consequences...
Hmm...what did I do?!
OH yes, it was all over the walls. I eventually jumped in and helped reach the high spots.....
Because I can't stay mad at this sweet, precious little face for very long.
Could you?
And besides, we had Mr. Clean's help. There's nothing Mr. Clean can't do. Give him a little crayon on the wall, NO PROBLEM! That's nothin'.
He is the best ever. MY HERO.
And then we went back to coloring. Supervised. On paper.
And Owen goes, "Look Mommy! I'm coloring on paper!!"
So now I can giggle. Mama was not too happy there for a brief moment. And if mama ain't happy, nobody is, right?!
But really, that was some pretty great wall art. Owen can draw faces now!! One leg and all.

Its the creative side of him coming out...love it...I've heard of some families who put chalk boards on the kids walls so they can draw...and then some who allow the kids to draw on walls...allowing the creative side of themselves to be expressed.
I was too much of a neat freak to allow drawings on my walls...LOL
lol!!!! sounds so like my Tess!
So glad you came over to visit my blog because now that I'm here, I'll definitely be returning as well! I love this little story and I love how you photographed it. Looks like something I would do. At least he looks cute? :)
Aww, that's so cute. I imagine you were fuming at the time but it's great you took such lovely photos. They'll definitely be something to treasure when he's older.
I did not know that stuff existed- so it works?? now I have to go out and get some!! thanks for the tip! ;-)
