Twin's Game!

Yesterday was a big day.  Owen's first day of preschool and then his very first Twins game!  I know, I know....it only took us 3+ years to bring him to one!  And actually, it was my first game in the new Target field as well.  What a fun place!!  And we lucked out...the weather cooperated! It was a bit chilly but we snuggled up in a blanket so it was all good.  Owen had a great time--he was clapping along with the cheers and would get all excited when a Twins player got up to bat. They would announce a name and he would say all excited; "O-dawg is up to bat!!" Or whoever.  Let's just say his Daddy has been teaching him all about the Twins. Not to mention it's on the TV in our house daily.
Anyways, it was a great family outing.  Owen watched a little of the game but I think the part he loved the most were the french fries and the lemonade!  At about the 5th inning, Owen says, "I want to go home--it's my bedtime."  You wouldn't believe my surprise.  My child does not usually suggest such things.  So we left shortly thereafter--the Twins were going to win anyways! (they did win, didn't they? I never checked!) : )   But it was all good.  We got a nice taste of the game and Target Field.  Plenty of fun.  Owen must have been bored or sick of sitting down-ha! (or maybe he really was tired... ) Obviously, he's not quite old enough to truly, entirely appreciate watching the game of baseball.  We still had a great time.  I'm sure Owen will remember his first baseball game...even if all he does remember are the french fries! :)

Not a great shot with the shadows but it's with me! Have to have one of those every now and then, right? :)

Owen had to check out the HUGE baseball glove on the way out.
